  • All of our breeding dogs are genetically health tested and certified with the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA). This helps ensure you are getting the very best bred puppy possible.

  • General disclaimer: No breeder can state that any given puppy will be completely free of a genetic defect. Salem's Finest screens the background of all prospective sires and dams used in our breeding program to reduce the odds of whelping a genetically inferior or defective puppy.

  • Puppies go home with 30 days of FREE health insurance

  • I guarantee your puppy will be healthy at the time he/she goes home. All of my puppies will be vet checked by 7-9 weeks of age.

  • I do not guarantee that you will be able to show or breed your animal.

  • Customer is required to take the new puppy to their veterinarian within 72 hours or 3 working days for a general health check. You will be given your puppy's shot/health record. Please make sure that you choose a vet that is familiar with SMALL breeds, like your Chihuahua.

  • **Not completing this requirement does void the limited genetic health guarantee.** It is your responsibility to know the date your puppy is being released and to have the wellness exam set up and scheduled. Waiting until the last minute on your part does not mean I will grant an extension. Keep in mind that because of Covid, clinics are backed up and appointments are pushed out. I recommend scheduling a few dates for the same appointment so you are on the schedule and you can always cancel the appointments you don't need- this is especially important if you are having your puppy shipped. I absolutely cannot extend the window for the second wellness exam. Too many variables can happen and I will not be held responsible.

  • Your puppy is guaranteed for one year from the date of the purchase contract, against any life threatening genetic defects as long as the terms and conditions of the contract have been followed and proof can be provided. Conditions not considered life threatening and therefore not covered include but not limited to luxating patella, hernias of any kind, collapsing trachea, undescended testicles, class I or II murmur, intervertebral disc disease, inverted vulva, cherry eye, floppy ears, any type of hair loss (alopecia), etc. If the condition can be treated, it is NOT considered life threatening.

  • This guarantee excludes internal and external parasites. Buyer understands that intestinal parasites (including hookworms, roundworms, whip worms, Coccidia, and Giardia) are considered a normal occurrence of all puppies and puppies need regular fecal exams and deworming up to 16 weeks of age or more.

  • If any life threatening health problems are found at the time of exam, puppy needs to be returned immediately with a written statement from your vet.

  • Seller reserves the right to have the puppy examined by a Veterinarian of Seller's choice, before an exchange is made, and a replacement puppy is given.

  • If a major problem has been determined and return of puppy is desired and agreed upon by both parties, a replacement puppy of comparable size, color, gender and value will be given to the buyer as long as the terms of the puppy contract have been followed. If a replacement puppy is not available at that time, buyer will be notified immediately when a comparable puppy is available. NO cash refunds will be given, only an exchange. Any Veterinarian expenses incurred determining the problem/health status of this puppy will be the sole responsibility of the buyer and no refunds or reimbursements will be expected from seller. If the puppy is to be returned to the seller, shipping is the sole responsibility of the buyer and no reimbursement will be expected from the seller. Shipping will also be paid for by the buyer for the replacement puppy.

  • Our guarantee does not include poisoning, accidents, negligence or behavioral problems, as training philosophies and environments vary among individuals.

  • NO WARRANTY ON HYPOGLYCEMIA (low blood sugar) It is your responsibility to make sure your puppy is eating and drinking on a regular basis.

  • In the unlikely event that your puppy should die within the first 72 hours in your care, an autopsy/necropsy from a State Veterinary Lab is required for replacement of the puppy. If your puppy should die within the first 12 months, an autopsy/necropsy from a State Veterinary Lab is required for a replacement of the puppy.

  • All deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE.

  • All monies paid are NON-REFUNDABLE unless your puppy should die while still in our care

  • All monies paid are transferable to upcoming litters/available puppies of equal or lesser value for an additional fee. (Fee is waived if primary puppy is not deemed healthy.)

  • In the event, that a chosen puppy does become unstable/deceased/ill or receives a Vet health check with a condition that is less than perfect while still in the breeders care, the money paid by the customer will then be refunded or transferred to an upcoming puppy in a future litter. Buyer has this choice. Any fees paid to 3rd parties, such as PayPal, are not refundable or transferable. This is only valid for life threatening genetic conditions.

  • Even though I try to predict size and color, I do not guarantee either. All weights are based off of the weight chart that can be found on my website. This chart is used only as an estimate.
