Home of the Finest Miniature Dachshunds in the Willamette Valley

Our adventure with the Weens is new but we have done all of our due diligence on our adult breeding dogs to ensure we are planning the best outcomes within our future Dachshund litters. While all of our adult breeding dogs are short coat, they all carry the recessive long coat gene so we will be able to produce both coats within our upcoming litters. Our Dachshunds are raised in our home and alongside our Chihuahuas. We have completed all recommended health testing for the breed, plus a few extras that we thought were beneficial with ensuring the wellness of our future pups. Our dogs range in size from 14 lbs to 19 lbs. We are accepting applications for our upcoming planned litters for this year.

Our puppies and future litters will be raised with the same Puppy Culture philosophy as our Chihuahua pups. Puppies will be vetted prior to leaving us and will have 1 to 2 vaccines completed with Bordetella prior to their release date, depending on ages. Go home dates will be between 8-10 weeks old. Puppies will be selected from our website from photos and videos only. We do not allow visitors at our private home for puppy selecting. Puppy Application will be required to be on our waiting list or to adopt an available puppy.

Our Story

All my life I have enjoyed meeting Dachshunds and have always wanted one. I finally made that dream a reality in 2022! I brought my first baby girl home. I had a long list of physical traits I wanted in my Dachshund but let me be honest. I didn't get any of those in this amazing dog. I fell in love with her because we shared a birthday, she was the color of my heart Chihuahua and the same color as my late grandma's Dachshund. I followed fate when choosing her instead of color/pattern and coat length. Oh yeah, she is also a long coat. Her name is Tallulah. She is the most spectacular dog and although she is not part of our new breeding program, she taught me the love for the breed and what to look for in my next group of dogs for the breeding program. Tallulah is not part of our program because I wasn't sure I wanted to venture into breeding a second breed at the time and I had her spayed. I do regret that decision now, but it's okay. She gets to be a pillow princess everyday and boss all the other Dachshunds around.

We decided as a family to try breeding a new breed. We all fell madly in love with Tallulah and felt it was our next adventure. So we began our search in 2023 for our future team of wieners! We worked with several breeders across the U.S to find the right Dachshunds so we would have the most desirable traits we wanted in the least amount of dogs. We wanted our dogs to be PRA clear so that meant finding a breeder who health tests. This was a challenge because so many Dachshund breeders only do a genetic panel and label it as health testing. That's simply not enough! We knew we wanted to do better and by better, I mean we were going to follow the AKC guidelines for what health testing is recommended for the Miniature Dachshund. Recommended health testing for Miniature Dachshund are certification for Eyes from a ophthalmologist, patellar evaluation (knees) and cardiac (heart) evaluation. Additionally, It is important to know what kind of Dapple (Merle) we are working with so we have had the Merle sine lengths evaluated, too.
